Field Day was held in the morning March 29th prior to the rain. It actually began last week when our field coordinators along with some players actually began speading new dirt in the infield. Many thanks go out to the league's players and their dads that came out today to prepare the field for play. Many of our players actually were able to get community service credit for their efforts as well. We took down the old yellow fence coverings and replaced them with some new hunter green coverings around the outfield and dugouts. We put up the green background screens behind home plate and centerfield. We cleaned out our equipment and storage sheds. We picked up trash all around the field and near the batting cage. We put up the batting cage netting and cleaned out the dugouts. We have 2 new heavy duty L-Screens on order for use during in-cage and on-field batting practices to enhance player safety. Our goal was to get everything in order prior to the Gaudet Baseball team's first home game. We accomplished our goal. Keep an eye on our website as we swing into our Babe Ruth season. Thanks again!
